London police are crediting a neighbour's vigilance in the arrest of two break-in suspects on Monday afternoon.

Officials say the man called 911 after two suspicious people knocked on his door asking if he wanted his property shovelled.

A short time later, he reportedly went to a neighbouring home on Foster Ave. and found the home had been broken into.

A man fled, but the citizen was able to hold the female suspect until police arrived. The male was arrested by police nearby a short time later.

The two were the same pair that had offered to shovel the resident's property.

As a result, 35-year-old Jeremy Bryan of London and 28-year-old Angela Allingham, of no fixed address, have been charged with break, enter and theft.

Bryan is also charged with two counts of possession of property obtained by crime.

London police encourage anyone who sees suspicious activity to report it to 519-661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
