You may order any original CTV News item that aired within the past six months as a souvenir for personal use only. Please note that we will only provide segments that feature you or a family member.
You may not redistribute, excerpt or post on social media. Video segments may not be used to market or advertise a company, service or product.
Can I order an old TV show/game show where I was a contestant?
Many of the older shows no longer exist in our archive or have copyright issues that forbid us from selling them to the public. One popular exception is JUST LIKE MOM. Several seasons’ worth of episodes from this program have been located. While we do not have every episode that aired, we are able to search our inventory to see if we have that special one with you and your Mom.

The CTV News Archives do not have a public search option. You must contact us with your request and a researcher will work with you to find the best options for your project.
Alternatively, you may search CTVNews.ca, keeping in mind that we may only license CTV Original material. Copyright held by other sources (photographs, amateur video, social media video, security video, court sketches or footage from non-CTV sources) may not be licensed by CTV News Stox.
The use of anchors or reporters or their voiceover audio must be cleared with management before any use is permitted. Please do not cut into your projects without seeking this approval first.
What is the cost to license footage?
Licensing fees are based on media, market and term. In order to give you a quote, we need to know how you intend to use the footage, where it will air and for how long you wish to license. We will work with you to find the clips you need within your budget.
