It was a sombre day for many in Strathroy on Saturday, as Quinn Derbyshire was laid to rest.
Funeral services were held at the East Christian Reformed Church in Strathroy for the 10-year-old boy who died in a tragic fire last Sunday.
Quinn Derbyshire, one of Steven and Cindy Derbyshire's three boys, died in the fire.
His body was found on Monday night, after fire crews and police spent the day searching for the boy, who was "unaccounted for" following the blaze at 25198 Melbourne Road.
EMS transported the other four members of the family to hospital with non-life threatening injuries after the fire.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Ontario Fire Marshal’s office and the Strathroy-Caradoc Police Service.
Damage is estimated at $350,000.
On Friday, the London Knights held a moment of silence for Quinn.
The Knights organization also raised money for the boy's family through pass the bucket.
