St. Thomas police are reminding residents to lock their vehicles after several were entered and items stolen overnight.

Investigators say numerous vehicles in the Park Avenue and Mary Bucke Street area were entered very early Tuesday.

Police received a call about suspicious youths in the area around 3:30 a.m., but they ran when police arrived.

Three were later located, and two were arrested.

Items including cell phones, iPods, a watch and loose change were recovered.

One youth was released as part of the Youth Criminal Justice Act Diversion Program for possession of property under $5,000.

The other was held for court facing charges of possession of property under $5,000 and breach of probation.
