Middlesex County OPP have charged a youth following an alleged altercation during a hockey game.
Police were contacted in earlier in December, regarding a player who allegedly came up behind another player and struck them in the helmet with a hockey stick.
There were no injuries reported to police.
OPP say the investigation determined that the assault was intentional and unrelated to the play in the game.
As a result, a male youth has been charged with assault with a weapon.
