Police are searching for a male suspect following an armed robbery outside a Woodstock Tim Hortons Friday.

Police say a female employee was confronted by a male at the restaurant on 13 Mill St. just before 11 p.m. The suspect pointed a gun at her and forced her back inside the business.

They say the suspect received an unundisclosed amount of cash and left the business walking southwest. The employee was not injured.

Police searched the area using the K-9 unit but the suspect was not located.

He is described as 6-foot-3 with a larger build. He was wearing a ski mask, bulky black-hooded winter jacket, black gloves and tan or darker coloured pants.

Police say he had a smaller black handgun and was carrying a royal blue smaller cloth bag.
