London police are asking for the public's help in identifying a woman wanted in connection to an unprovoked assault.

Police say around 5 p.m. Monday, the victim was with her four-month-old baby inside the Superking grocery store on Wonderland Road when she was approached by an unknown woman.

The suspect began yelling at the victim for no apparent reason and then punched her, spat on her and grabbed the woman's hijab, trying to pull it off.

She then left the store.

The victim suffered minor injuries from the assault.

The suspect is described as a female, approximately 5'5, 30-40 years old with a medium build, approximately 150 lbs.

She had long black hair pulled back in a ponytail, wearing a red Canada T-shirt and black pants and carrying a green purse.

The suspect spoke with a heavy accent but it was unknown what language she was speaking.
