Wellington County OPP are reporting that two homes were damaged following severe weather Sunday night.

According to police, an intense storm passed through the area of Teviotdale near the Town of Minto causing severe damage to one home and moderate damage to another.

Police also report that a chicken barn and cattle barn were destroyed, and that five police cruisers sustained damage. So far there have been no reports of any personal injuries.

A severe weather system passed through southern Ontario causing widespread problems across the region.

At one point Hydro One reported that as many as 50,000 customers were without power between Parry Sound to Chatham. According to Hydro One's website about 27,000 customers were still without power as of 3 a.m. Monday.

There were reports that the storms brought heavy rain, hail and high winds in some areas.

Environment Canada issued tornado warnings for many areas at one point late Sunday afternoon, but later downgraded them to severe thunderstorm warnings in most areas.
