An overnight break-in at a local veterans' organization has club members scratching their heads over the vandalism.
The break and enter was discovered this Thursday morning, when staff opened the Army, Navy, Air Force Veterans in Canada – Imperial Unit 229, located at 30 Adelaide St. N.
Staff say they found several broken beer bottles in the parking lot, along with loot the thieves abandoned. Officials believe thieves broke into the building through a window.
The suspects also damaged mirrors and smashed bottles inside. Club president Barb Jones says it’s hard to understand.
“If they wanted to come in and take whatever they were taking (then) take it, but don't destroy the place while (you’re) doing that," she says.
London police are investigating.
