Perth County OPP are looking for suspect(s) after the Westover Inn Chapel on Thomas Street in St. Marys was damaged.

Investigators say sometime between Tuesday, Aug. 12 and the morning of Thursday, Aug. 14, the front door of the chapel, which sits on the southwest edge of the Westover Inn property, was forced open.

Once inside, the suspect(s) reportedly smashed a large marble altar to the ground and broke window ledges. Outside the chapel, electrical boxes and poles were also damaged.

The stone chapel, which according to the inn's website was built in the 1930s, has hosted numerous weddings.
