TORONTO - Union Gas says its customers across Ontario can expect an 11 to 20 per cent decrease in their annual natural gas bill.

The utility says it has applied to the Ontario Energy Board for a decrease in rates, that if approved, would go into effect on April 1.

It estimates that depending on location, the rate decrease could lead to $120 to $168 in savings for customers.

Union Gas says natural gas prices have declined dramatically in the past five years due to the discovery of new supplies and are lower today than they were 10 years ago.
