Three people taken into custody after report of a weapon

There was a high-risk takedown Monday afternoon in the downtown area.

London police officers took three people into custody about 2:30 p.m. in the Richmond and Dufferin Streets area.

Police moved in on a vehicle after receiving information there may be a weapon inside.

Two men and a woman inside the car were arrested and the vehicle was seized.

Police haven’t said if they found a weapon or if charges are pending, but the investigation continues.
