Highway 401 was closed for several hours after a collision involving a transport truck resulted in several more collisions in the same area near Woodstock.
Three people were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries following the collisions.
It all started around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday when a tractor trailer collided with a vehicle and then struck the centre media in the westbound lanes of highway 401 west of Sweaburg Road/Mill Street.
The collision left debris all across the roadway in the eastbound lanes which six separate vehicles struck.
The highway was closed in both directions between Foldens Line and Sweaburg/Mill Street for cleanup but has since reopened.
