Sarnia Police shut down traffic at Plank Road and Modeland Road as a precautionary measure Sunday afternoon following the suspected release of an unknown substance.
Around 12:40 on Sunday, July 24th, a business in the area informed police that it had detected an unknown substance. Police then shut down traffic on Plank Road between Indian Road and Modeland Road while the investigation was underway.
The substance was thought to be from a tank at Enbridge on Plank Rd, however further testing showed this was not the case.
The all clear was given around 2:45 p.m. and the road was reopened.
