Teen in critical condition after driving into mini mall

A 17-year-old driver was taken to hospital in critical condition after London police say he crashed into a building.

Police say emergency crews were sent to Shelborne Street at Burlington Gate on Monday at about 1:30 a.m., in response to a vehicle that had struck a building.

Upon arrival, police located a grey minivan with extensive damage to the front passenger side.

A lone male was found in the vehicle. The 17-year-old was unconscious and transported to hospital by EMS.
