A drug bust in Stratford has left a 24-year-old man facing several charges, after police discovered over 1,000 syringes in an apartment.

Stratford police executed a warrant Wednesday night approximately 10 p.m. in the 100 block of Wellington Street. Once inside officers seized cannabis, crystal meth, and liquid dilaudid.

Officers also discovered 1,000 used syringes - most of them capped in sharps containers - while others were scattered across the apartment.

The man is charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance, three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, four counts of breaching his probation and two counts of breaching his recognizance.

Police estimate the total value of the drugs to be $1,000.

The man was held in custody for a bail hearing.
