Four employees at a Subway Restaurant in Sarnia took shelter in a back room after a man armed with a handgun entered the building.
According to police the lone male entered the restaurant in the 1000 block of Confederation Street around 6:30 p.m. Sunday demanding money from the register.
The four employees took shelter until police arrived and no injuries were reported in the robbery.
Sarnia police have released surveillance video on YouTube in the robbery.
The suspect is described as being 5’2” to 5’6” in height, and heavy set. He was wearing dark shoes, black track pants with two thin white stripes, a grey Aeropostale hoodie with white lettering, a dark vest and a camouflage face mask.
According to police he was armed with a silver handgun and fled in a westerly direction.
