A second person has been charged with animal cruelty following the death of a dog that was found in a Sarnia dumpster.

Police say a small dog was  found wrapped in garbage bags on October 24 in the dumpster on Colborne Road.  It had significant injuries and was euthanized.

The OSPCA along with the Sarnia Police began an investigation. It was determined that the dog had been left in the dumpster for several days.

On Nov. 18, the Sarnia Police Service charged a 22-year-old-male with two counts of animal cruelty.

On Thursday, police also charged an 18-year-old woman with two counts of animal cruelty.
