The most colourful festival in London wraps up tomorrow with its signature parade through downtown London.

The parade is the crowning event of the Pride London Festival, which has been holding celebratory and educational events for last ten days. Thousands of spectators and supporters are expected to line the streets Sunday, July 24th, for the parade. Hundreds of participants, dozens of community organizations and many high-profile citizens will join the celebration, including London Police chief John Pare.

The parade starts at 12:30 from the Western Fair District parking lot off Rectory Street. It will travel north on Ontario Street to Queens Avenue, then head west on Queens to Wellington Street, and north on Wellington to Wolfe Street. The parade will disperse at Victoria Park, where the party will continue with a free wind-down show at the band shell.

The Pride London Festival celebrates and affirms the lives of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transsexual, and other individuals with a range of identities. For the last 22 years, the Festival has been promoting unity, inclusion and awareness of sexual and gender diversity. Signs of advancing social inclusion this year include the rainbow crosswalks downtown in addition to another first – the raising of the Pride flag at London Police headquarters.
