London police are reminding students to lock their doors, after a spate of break-ins at residential homes.

Between March 24 and April 14, police say they responded to eight break and enters at homes occupied by students.

Police say in most of these cases the suspect(s) entered through an unlocked door and removed electronics from TVs to laptops.

The break-ins have been occurring in the area bordered by Central Avenue to Oxford Street East, and Richmond Street to Talbot Street between 6 p.m. and 2 a.m.

In several cases police say the occupants were home and heard noises.

Residents should ensure their doors are locked and alert police to any suspicious activity by calling 519-661-5670 or 911.
