Saugeen Shores police have identified the body of a man found by hikers along the Lake Huron shoreline.
Police say it was 53-year-old man Peter James Armstrong, who was reported missing in March. He was last seen at a Southampton home on March 9, 2016.
His body was discovered at the south end of McGregor Point Provincial Park in Saugeen Township on May 2 at 1:30 p.m. Emergency crews were called to remove the body from the water.
The body was taken to London, where an autopsy was conducted on Tuesday. The cause of death will not be determined until the results of toxicology are complete.
Police say foul play is not suspected.
