Provincial police are notifying the public about a person “considered to be at a high-risk to reoffend” living in Southgate.

Brenden Sarginson, 30, has taken up residence on Southgate Road 75.  Police say he has previous criminal convictions for theft under $5000, sexual assault and fail to comply with a probation order.

Sarginson completed a custodial sentence in Alberta in 2014, completed another custodial sentence in Ontario on April 26.

He has been released on probation and he is currently bound by two probation orders with the following conditions: 24 hour curfew, unless accompanied by a designated adult, keep the peace and be of good behaviour, not to associate or communicate with any children under 18 years, not to volunteer in a capacity that involves being in a position of trust or authority towards any person under the age of 18 years.

Sarginson is described as a Caucasian male with hazel colored eyes, shaved brown hair in a crewcut style. He is six-feet tall and 200 lbs.

He is required to report to a Barrie probation and parole officer as well as the Grey County OPP on a regular basis and he will also be monitored by an electronic monitoring device while on probation.
