No one was injured after what police say was an 'unidentified projectile' passed through three rooms on the second floor of a Georgian Bluffs home.

Grey County OPP were called to a home on Carney Street on Monday shortly after noon after the homeowner heard a loud popping sound and found wood debris in the master bedroom.

Police say further investigation found a bullet hole in the exterior framing of the home on the second floor and that the projectile had passed through three rooms on the upper floor.

Two adults and a child were in the home at the time, but fortunately no one was injured.

OPP believe the projectile was from a small caliber, high-velocity firearm.

Police say this appears to be an isolated incident, but the OPP Forensic Identification Unit from Mount Forest was called in to assist with the investigation.
