Bruce Peninsula OPP with assistance from the West Region Crime Unit, Bruce Peninsula Crime Unit and Grey County Crime Unit continues to investigate an assault that occurred on October 21st, 2014 on Cape Chin Road South, Municipality of Northern Bruce Peninsula.
As a result of this investigation, police say they have charged 25 year old Joseph Garrett Schmidt of the Municipality of South Bruce with attempt to commit murder contrary.
Schmidt is currently in custody and set to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on October 27, 2014.
