Ontario Provincial Police are investigating armed robberies at gas stations in both Norfolk County and Brant County that share similar details.

Norfolk County OPP say that on Tuesday November 24, at 11:38 p.m. a lone male entered a Petro Canada gas station near Simcoe displaying a weapon.

The suspect demanded money from the cash register and then fled westbound on Queensway West.

The OPP has supplied two photos of the suspect, caught on surveillance cameras.

He is described as a white male, approximately 6’0 tall, wearing a black ski mask covering his face, camouflage jacket and dark coloured gloves.

 

Roughly an hour later a male suspect matching a similar description robbed a Pioneer gas station in Cainsville in Brant County.

The suspect in the Brant County robbery is also described as a white male, approximately 6’0, 220 lbs, wearing a black ski mask covering his face, camouflage jacket and dark coloured gloves.

The suspect was also armed in the incident with an undisclosed weapon.

OPP say they are treating both robberies as related and continue to investigate.

No one was injured in either of the incidents.
