Three of the four people who died in a fiery crash on Highway 400 last Friday have been identified as three generations of women from one family.

A relative of the victims, in a news release issued early Wednesday by a Toronto public relations firm, identified them as Isabela Kuci, 5, her mother Valbona Vokshi, 35, and her grandmother Xhemile Vokshi, 55.

The statement said the fourth victim, who was not related to the family, has been identified as Maria Lipska, 27. Police have not yet officially released the victims' names.

The crash occurred in the highway's southbound lanes in north Toronto shortly before 10 p.m. last Friday and involved three transport trucks along with several other vehicles. One of the trailers and two vehicles caught fire.

Ontario Provincial Police Sgt. Kerry Schmidt said the crash was "absolutely preventable" and that investigators were looking into the actions of the driver of one of the transport trucks involved in the crash.

Blerta Vokshi -- the aunt, sister and daughter to three accident victims -- planned to address the media and release a statement on behalf of the family during a news conference this morning at a Toronto law office.
