It's good news for those about to attend classes at the province's 24 community colleges this fall.
A tentative agreement has been reached between the College Employer Council and OPSEU, the union representing over 12,000 faculty members.
Details of the agreement will be released prior to a ratification vote late in late September.
"I want to congratulate College faculty on negotiating a tentative contract that helps to protect and enshrine quality education for students,” said OPSEU President Warren (Smokey) Thomas.
"This has been a productive round of negotiations, and I cannot say enough about the quality of the bargaining team and how they represent their members,” said OPSEU Negotiator, Mark Kotanen.
“It was done right - with attention both to the details and the larger issues."
Negotiations were on-going throughout the summer.
