The condition of the founder of Sammy Souvlaki's has improved since sustaining injuries in a violent robbery early Sunday morning.

Originally listed in critical condition 62-year-old Sotirios 'Sammy' Cardabikis' condition has improved to "fair" as of Tuesday morning.

London police were called to Sammy’s on Trafalgar Street at about 1:30 a.m. Sunday for a reported robbery.

Staff Sgt. Tom Gaffney says four masked men were involved.

"There were weapons involved, it was not just hands."

He would not say what kind of weapons were involved.

Police found two male victims, who received injuries as a result of the robbery, one critically.

One of the victims is the owner and founder of the London chain of food trailers, Cardabikis.

Police are continuing their investigation and are asking anyone with information to contact them.
