Chatham-Kent police have made an arrest, following a robbery at a convenience store.

Officers were called to the Mac’s Convenience at 170 McNaughton Ave. W. on Tuesday, around 9:25 a.m.

Through their investigation, police say a man entered the store and demanded money from the till. However, the man fled the store when the clerk went to call police. No weapon was seen.

The suspect was found a short time later and arrested.

The 18-year-old Chatham man is charged with attempted robbery.
