London police say a 63-year-old man injured after being struck by a vehicle while crossing the street nearly two weeks ago has died.

Police and EMS were called to Adelaide St. near Osgoode Dr. around 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 5 for reports a pedestrian had been struck while crossing the street.

The man's name is not being released at the request of his family.

The Traffic Management Unit is continuing with the investigation.

Police are reminding drivers, cyclists and pedestrians that road safety is a shared responsibility.

Cyclists should have reflectors and a light on their bickes and both cyclists and pedestrians are encouraged to ear light-coloured clothing during the evening and nighttime hours.
