After warning residents to be aware after a man was reportedly seen offering children a ride in the area of Wellington Road and High Street, police now say the allegation is unfounded.
On Thursday, police had issued a warning saying luring incidents had occurred around 1:30 p.m. on and involved a male in an older-model red Ford F150 4x4 with an extended cab.
Following an investigation, police have reason to believe the incident never occurred.
Nonetheless, police are reminding parents to ensure they have safe practices in place when children are walking to and from school.
