Members of the Lambton OPP were kept busy, but ultimately say it was a safe long weekend for the shoreline region.
Lambton OPP reports that they responded to 297 calls over the Civic Holiday Weekend in addition to dealing with severe weather Sunday evening.
According to police Grand Bend was once again a busy area with 81 charges being laid. Of those charges, 52 were Liquor Licence Act charges.
The total number of charges in Grand Bend was up from last year’s total of 65. However, Traffic Act charges fell from 22 in 2014 to just six this year.
