An 18-year-old from Owen Sound is facing charges following a collision that injured seven people.

According to OPP three vehicles were involved in the crash which occurred late Sunday afternoon in the Township of Georgian Bluffs.

Police say a Jeep was travelling northbound on Highway 6 and 10 when it entered the southbound lane clipping another vehicle before colliding head on with a Mercedes. The Jeep then caught fire.

Nine people were involved in the collision. Five people suffered minor injuries in the crash and two people were airlifted to hospital in London with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

OPP have charged an 18-year-old male with careless driving, and continue to investigate the incident.
