A missing woman has been found safe in Guelph Sunday, Brantford police said.

Mary Lemma, 63, who has schizophrenia, was supposed to arrive in London from New Brunswick Saturday night by train.

Instead, it appears she got off the train in Brantford.

Police said she made her way to Guelph and spent the night in a chair in a retirement or nursing home.

Her sister, Maureen Riley, said a CTV story alerted the public that her sister was missing and somebody recognized her and called authorities.

Lemma is now in hospital.
