Lambton County OPP have charged two men after seizing marijuana plants with an estimated street value of about $100,000.

Officers were called to Blue Heron Road near Egremont Road around 2 p.m. Monday for reports of two suspicious males on bicycles in the area.

Investigators found two men coming out of a corn field with freshly harvested marijuana plants valued at around $100,000.

As a result, 30-year-old Jacob Dewhirst of Petrolia and 53-year-old Russell Dunn of London, have been charged with:

  • possession of a controlled substance
  • possession for the purpose of trafficking
  • mischief under $5,000
  • possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000

They were being held for bail and were expected to return to a Sarnia court at a future date.
