A London man charged in the death of Anthony Crone has pleaded guilty to manslaughter.

Inmar Kheder, 19, entered his plea in a London courtroom, where victim impact statement's were made Monday.

Crone was stabbed six times in November 2012, when Kheder was 17.

A 911 call was made from the Hasty Market store on Adelaide Street North as the 24-year-old Crone, a relative of former mayor Dianne Haskett, lay bleeding.

Det-Sgt. Paul Waight said at the time that Crone was talking with someone he knew in the parking lot when a fight broke out.

As the victim was rushed to hospital, where he died, police were looking for the suspect and found him metres away in an apartment.

The youth was originally charged with second degree murder.

At court Monday, the mother of Crane's three-year-old daughter Danika, the past two years have been heartbreaking.

She carries around a little teddy bear and she asks for her daddy every day, says Natasha Hockley.

Hockley says more needs to be done to help victims of crime.

"It's just really frustrates me.The victims are left shattered with absolutely no rehabilitation for us."

Kheder's lawyer, Gord Cudmore, says his client is remorseful.

Justice Andrew Goodman will hand down his verdict on October 3rd.

The Crown is seeking a five-year to seven-year term, while the defence is asking for three to four and a half years behind bars.
