Lambton County OPP say a man has died after the vehicle he was driving crashed into the St. Clair River.
Emergency crews were called to the incident on St. Clair Parkway in the area of Ward Line around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Officers say they don’t know why the vehicle travelling south on St. Clair Parkway left the roadway and entered into the river. The lone male occupant of the vehicle was pronounced dead.
The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation team has been called in to assist with the investigation.
The St. Clair Parkway is currently closed between Ward Line and Gallerno Lane. Police expected it to remain closed for a few more hours during the investigation.
