Woodstock police say they have charged a man following a weekend robbery.

Officials say very early on Saturday a man walked into the Mac's Convenience Store at 951 Devonshire Ave. and demanded cash, while alleging he had a gun in his possession and threatening the store clerk.

The 19-year-old store clerk handed over the money and wasn't harmed. The suspect then fled on foot.

Police found the suspect almost immediately, travelling westbound from the store. Following a brief foot chase, the suspect was arrested without further incident.

Patrick Gaudet, 42, of Woodstock has been charged with robbery and uttering death threats.
