The London Transit Commission has promoted one of their own to replace retiring general manager Larry Ducharme.

Kelly Paleczny, who played a role in expanded technology and specialized transit services at the LTC, will take the reins on January 1.

Paleczny has been involved in transit policy at the provincial and national levels and received a national award for helping to improve accessibility standards.

"Mrs. Paleczny brings experience, knowledge, continuity and a dynamic to the business of London’s public transit services. Mrs. Paleczny, in addition to being a key member of London Transit’s senior management team, has been actively involved in transit policy and program development at the provincial and national level,” says LTC chair David Winniger.
