London police have released statistics from Homecoming and Reunion Weekend at Western University and Fanshawe College neighbourhoods. 

Project LEARN, which stands for Liquor Enforcement and Reduction of Noise, included extra patrols were in the downtown area, as well as at the university and college.

Police say for both events there were 37 criminal charges - 14 against students and 23 to non-students. Police also handed out 254 offence notices.

In last year’s Project Learn initiative, there were 23 criminal charges and 791 offence notices.

Reunion weekend took place Sept. 30 – Oct. 2 and the new official homecoming was Oct. 22.

Police say no major incidents were encountered, with the exception of the large crowd issues associated to the Broughdale Avenue area for Reunion Weekend.
