By all accounts, St Patrick's Day 2016 in London was a relatively quiet one.

London Police have released statistics from last Thursday.

London police increased patrols in the downtown core and Richmond Row entertainment areas along with student populated areas near Western and Fanshawe.

The increased police presence was supported by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, City of London Bylaw Enforcement, London Fire Service and Middlesex London EMS.

Police also worked closely with the Fanshawe Students Union and Western's University Student Council to ensure a safe St. Patrick's Day.
