A London police officer received minor injuries after a cruiser was struck early Sunday morning near Emery and High Streets.

Police were called to the area about 12:30 a.m. after a parked vehicle was struck by a red Saturn and had extensive damage.

While on scene, the Saturn returned to the area and struck the front end of the cruiser. An officer inside had minor injuries.

Police have charged 44-year-old John Sharpe of London with impaired driving, failing to provide a breath sample and failing to remain at the scene of a collision. He also had minor injuries.
