A 19-year-old male was arrested after the London police street gang unit says he had a loaded handgun.
Police were conducting a firearms investigation on Wednesday around 3 p.m.
Officers arrested Ayanle Aden of London in the area of Oxford St and Wethered St. Officers say the gang member had a loaded .40 calibre Smith and Wesson handgun.
Aden has been charged unsafe storage of firearm, carry concealed weapon, possession of a prohibited/restricted weapon without being a holder of a licence, unauthorized possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle, possession of a loaded regulated firearm.
