It's not your "normal" game of hockey, but the underwater version is more popular than most people think.

"It's a fun one day tournament, we come out, play, then enjoy Halloween on the town afterwards," says organizer Adam Jocksch

Eleven teams from the U.S. and Canada put on their flippers and grabbed their mini hockey sticks to compete in the London Dolphins Halloween Tournament on Saturday

"It's a really accessible sport with a lot of different demographics and a lot of different fitness levels as well," Jocksch.

This is is the seventh year the league has participated in this tournament.

But the sport of underwater hockey has actually been around for over 30 years.

"I started playing 22 years ago, it's a great way to stay in shape, a low impact sport. We're on a tight schedule but everyone's here to have fun!" says

Captain Patrick Robertson.

There are tournaments roughly once a month across Ontario and the U.S.
