The Trackside Music Festival will hit the Forest City on July 1-2, the result of a partnership that includes Budweiser Gardens, Live Nation, the London Music Hall and Western Fair District.
The two-day concert series on Canada Day weekend will be held at the Western Fair and feature Florida Georgia Line, Chris Young, Randy Houser and more, as well as country acts yet to be announced.
Officials are calling it another step in the Western Fair District's move toward becoming a major music venue, which began with a Van Halen taking to the infield in August.
Western Fair CEO Hugh Mitchell said in a statement, "Trackside Music Festival, will be a highcalibre, outdoor, country festival drawing music fans from far and wide. It will be the first of a number of unique outdoor music offerings at Western Fair District.”
The festival marks the beginning of an unusual partnership that those involved hope will help turn London into a music hub for the region.
John Winston, general manager for Tourism London, said in a statement, “The creation of a country music festival is a timely and welcomed initiative for London that can not only significantly enhance visitations but build on London's reputation as an entertainment destination."
Tickets for the festival go on sale Dec. 19 and range from about $100 for a two-day general admission pass to just over $200 for a two-day VIP pass.
