The Lambton County OPP say they located and dismantled a $5,200,000 outdoor marijuana cultivation operation in Dawn-Euphemia Township.

Just before 10 a.m. on Friday, members of the Lambton County OPP received information from a concerned citizen of a suspected marijuana grow operation in the 6000 block of Bentpath Line, south of Oil  Springs.

Members of the Lambton OPP attended the location and discovered a large scale marijuana cultivation operation.

The Lambton OPP Street Crime Unit along with West Region Emergency Response Team and the West Region OPP Canine Unit were contacted to assist with the investigation.

During the course of the investigation, the Lambton OPP seized and destroyed approximately 5,200 mature marijuana plants with a street value of approximately $5,200,000.

The Lambton OPP is continuing with its investigation and is asking that if anyone with information regarding the person(s) involved to contact the Ontario Provincial Police at 1-888-310-1122 or (519) 882-1011, or their nearest police authority.
