The Niagara Ice Dogs would open the scoring of the OHL Finals but it would be the only goal London would allow on route to a 4-1 victory.

The crowd at Budweiser Gardens had to wait until the second period for goals to arrive, but the first puck to find netting came from the stick of an Ice Dog.

The Knights however, would only need four minutes to respond with a goal from Owen MacDonald, his third of the playoffs.

The Knights would add two more, including a shorthanded goal, to walk out of the second period with a 3-1 lead.

Mitch Marner would net his 16th goal of the post season the third period to seal the game for London at 4-1.

Tyler Parsons made 28 saves for London.  Game two is Saturday night in London with the puck dropping at 7p.m.
