The London Knights are bringing the 2016 MasterCard Memorial Cup trophy home today.
Following a storybook post-season, the London Knights have returned home as 2016 Memorial Cup champions.
Hundreds gathered in Victoria Park Monday afternoon to welcome home the Knights after Sunday's thrilling 3-2 overtime win the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies.
Dozens of faithful fans even greeted the team at the London International Airport as the team's plane touched down Monday.
During the even at Victoria Park, a few short speeches were made, including head coach and owner Dale Hunter.
