It's a lesson Perth County OPP hope a Kitchener man has learned, hanging out of a moving vehicle can be costly in more ways than one.

Around 7:30 p.m. Monday, an OPP officer on patrol along Hwy 7/8 between Stratford and Shakespeare noticed a passenger leaning out of the window.

The man's entire torso was outside of the rear window of a four door Pontiac sedan.

When the officer pulled over the car and asked what he was doing, the man said he had never hung out of the side of a moving vehicle and wanted to try it.

The 19-year-old Kitchener man was issued a $110 ticket for not wearing a seatbelt and was warned about his irresponsible behaviour.
