International Plowing Match opens with anti-wind protestors

The 100th annual 2013 International Plowing Match opened near Mitchell on Tuesday.

It’s the official opening of the rural showcase. About 150,000 people are expected to visit the area from Tuesday until Saturday.

The IPM parade was quietly disrupted by about 50 anti-wind protestors.

Ontario premier Kathleen Wynne spoke to the crowd to a mix of cheers and boos.
